Getting enough fruits and vegetables in your diet is much easier when they taste like dessert. Here’s an easy peasy recipe for fruit smoothies. Use it to get started, but feel free to experiment with your ingredients.
1-2 cups fresh or frozen fruit. You can use bananas, berries, apples, etc.
Use 4 ice cubes when making with fresh fruit. If using frozen fruit, you do not need ice cubes.
1 cup low fat, almond or soy milk
½ cup low fat Greek yogurt
½ cup of spinach or kale
Sprinkle cinnamon for sweetness in place of honey or sugar
Blend until smooth. Serves 2.
